Taking care of car is important not only when the car is working. When the car is not used on certain period of time, it’s also needed a special attention. Especially maybe now half of the owner personal car change used a public transport or motorcycle for push down their disimissal.
Plus when you get busy, I mean got an official duty. Usually in this situation they forgot about their car.
Whereas, car that been left in the garage for days or weeks, won’t be in the perfect condition when you want to use it again. Because of it, make sure you want to do this before you guys, left your car for weeks. Before that, please wash your car first.
Before you left your car, unplug your storage battery (accu) when you left it about 2 weeks. If accu (sensitive one) don’t be turn on a long time, that accu will broken faster than other accu that been often turn on. Accu don’t have to be dislodged if you can believe this task to your family member or servant at home.
Next steps is realease the hand brake, for prevent sticky between oil and plate brake, especially for the car that have a tromol on back wheel. Support wiper with foam or wood, so that wiper will stay bent and not turning hard.
Make sure 4 others wheel on lift condition, not sticky on the floor. Use a jack and stand-jack. The purpose is to make suspension still good and not burden by heavy car. The suspensions usually don’t be good when a car don’t be use for a long time.
If parked surface is sideways, support fourth wheels car with beam of wood to make sure that car position not change.
For inside car space, put car fragrance and closed the car with cover. Fungtion the fragrance is to neutral the stingky smell that probably will emerge because the space of the car that been shut for a long time. After all that steps you have done, and then you can leave your car with calm feeling. Just, Try it guys!
